In the city or in the countryside, birds are omnipresent. Sadly, these bird populations are disappearing at an alarming rate and their song can be heard less and less.
The Phaune project consists of an interactive map. Website and application in one, the map plays the sound of birdsong all over France. Recording microphones are placed in city centers, with the help of local authorities. The different birdsongs, relayed visually on the map thanks to their frequencies, are translated into colorful patterns. Cultivating awareness to better protect the world: this is the goal of Phaune.
