Do you feel safe at night in the city?
Marie is regularly faced with waiting at bus stops late at night. A dark and lonely bus shelter can cause oppressive feelings of fear and insecurity.
In order to “forget the wait”, she redesigned the bus stop for the journey from the “Hangar à Bananes” to Nantes city center. She imagined a place where people felt safe, adapting it to the needs of city-dwellers: real-time traffic forecasts, warmth and comfortable surroundings. Lighting is at ground-level and follows the green line of the Voyage à Nantes. This lighting system is linked to the Firefly application which reassures passengers, informs them of traffic conditions and actively involves them in the waiting time.
